Resource Description
How bollard groups, terminals, actions, and AI traffic work.
#Groups & Rows
A group is one row of bollards with its own terminals, signals, and actions. Admins stretch rows around corners and curves in the world, and every bollard in a row raises and lowers on its own. Six models are included: steel LED, reflective band, and slim, each in a normal and a tall version.
Groups and their raised states are stored in the database and restored after a restart. Nothing is placed through the config.
#Safety Stop
A rising bollard first pops up a few centimetres so traffic stops. It rises the rest of the way once no vehicle is over it or about to reach it.
#Terminals
Terminals are touchscreen pedestals, with or without a traffic light on top. The camera eases onto the screen and the player uses it with the mouse. Each terminal has its own access rules: a PIN, jobs with a minimum grade, items, or any combination. Wrong codes lock the keypad for a while.
A terminal with a PIN can issue access cards. A card opens only the terminal it was issued at, and every card of a terminal can be revoked at once.
#Actions
Actions move chosen bollards when something happens:
- A driver with a listed job approaches the row.
- A player presses a button on a terminal.
- A daily time is reached.
- Another resource calls the action by name.
#Signals
Standalone traffic lights and the lights on terminals turn green by rule, such as once every chosen bollard is fully lowered. Lights can also take turns through an alternating cycle, so two directions share a single open lane.
#AI Traffic
Closed rows switch off the road nodes around them, so traffic reroutes at junctions and does not spawn behind them. Cars already on the road brake at raised bollards and red signals. They wait at the line or turn around, depending on the group. Cars lined up with an open gap drive through.
#Map Markers
Rows with raised bollards are marked on the map, coloured by whether a car still fits through. Markers can be turned off per group.
#Admin & Integrations
The admin menu creates and edits groups, controls every bollard live, and teleports to any row. Every change is validated on the server. Server exports and events let other resources move bollards and react to changes, and the terminal access rules are editable in server/unlocked/access.lua.
